USDA Affirms Commitment to Global Food Assistance

Foreign Agricultural Service continues support for McGovern-Dole and Food for Progress initiatives.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced earlier this month that the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) will continue funding projects under the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Childhood Nutrition Program and the Food for Progress Program.

Food for Progress assists developing nations in modernizing agriculture, increasing agricultural productivity, and expanding trade.

“Projects supported by McGovern-Dole and Food for Progress help feed people around the globe while showcasing the abilities of U.S. farmers and creating demand for U.S. agricultural goods,” said Foreign Agricultural Service Administrator Daniel Whitley.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Administrator Whitley as he oversees the Foreign Agriculture Service.
  • For wisdom for Secretary Brooke Rollins as she assumes leadership of the USDA.
